This black BASIC tank ring is designed for the 2025–2026 BMW R 12 S and mechanically accommodates a suitable Hepco & Becker tank bag.

Complete matching tank ring set

The tank ring and tank-bag retaining plate form a complete product. The retaining plate can be aligned on the tank bag according to the tank shape and steering lock. No separate retaining plate is required, but a tank bag is not included.

Everyday operation

Placing the tank bag on the ring locks it with an audible click. The front strap releases the mechanism so that the tank bag can be removed. The fuel cap can still be opened with the ring installed.

Do not mix with Lock-it

A BASIC tank ring always requires a BASIC retaining plate. A Lock-it retaining plate does not fit, and vice versa. Neither ABE approval nor registration is needed when installed as intended. BMW manufacturer information and model-specific requirements must also be observed.
