The Regina 525 HPE Z-Ring Chain with Rivet Link sets new standards in motorcycle chain performance and durability. This highly developed chain does not require regular relubrication, which makes it particularly low-maintenance. Motorcyclists benefit from a significant reduction in maintenance costs, as the chain no longer needs to be lubricated every 1,000 km.

Extensive tests in the laboratory and on the road have proven that the service life of the HPE chain is at least as long, if not longer, than that of a conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chain. The innovative coating made of tetrahedral amorphous carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced coatings from the group of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings, is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers of the chain. This coating reduces energy losses and increases efficiency in the secondary drive by combining extreme hardness with a low coefficient of friction.

Another advantage of the Regina 525 HPE chain is the minimized environmental impact, as there is no need to clean the chain or spray lubricants during operation. The development of the innovative ta-C coating process was carried out through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
