SUZUKI GSX R 1000 [2017-2021] - Z-ring chain

Thanks to its revolutionary Z-ring technology, this advanced chain no longer requires regular relubrication, which was previously required every 1,000 km. This not only saves time but also maintenance costs.

Extensive testing in laboratories and on the road has proven that the durability of the HPE chain is at least as high, if not higher, than that of a conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chain. A key advantage of this chain is the coating with Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced forms of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive.

The very high hardness of the coated surface combined with a low coefficient of friction results in improved performance. Additionally, eliminating the need for chain cleaning and lubricant splash during operation minimizes environmental impact. The innovative ta-C coating technology was developed through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
