SUZUKI GSF 1250 [2007-2020] - Z-ring chain

The Regina 525 HPE Z-Ring Chain with Rivet Link sets new standards in the performance and durability of motorcycle chains. This ultra-modern chain does not require regular relubrication, which makes it particularly low-maintenance. Motorcyclists benefit from this innovation as the usual relubrication every 1,000 km is no longer necessary.

Extensive testing in the laboratory and on the road has proven that the HPE chain has a service life at least equal to, if not longer than, traditional regularly lubricated Z-ring chains. A special feature of this chain is the coating with Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced forms of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive.

The very high hardness of the coated surface combined with a low coefficient of friction results in improved performance. Additionally, the elimination of chain cleaning and lubricant splash during operation minimizes environmental impact. This technological development is the result of intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
