The Regina 525 HPE Z-Ring Chain with Rivet Link sets new standards in motorcycle chain performance and durability. Thanks to the revolutionary Z-ring technology, this sophisticated chain does not require regular relubrication, which would otherwise be required every 1,000 km. This not only saves time but also maintenance costs.

Extensive testing in laboratories and on the road has proven that the durability of the HPE chain is at least as high, if not higher, than that of a conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chain. Another outstanding feature is the coating with Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced coatings in the field of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) technologies. This coating is applied to the surfaces of the bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive.

The combination of extremely high hardness of the coated surface and a low coefficient of friction leads to improved performance. Additionally, eliminating the need for chain cleaning and the elimination of lubricant splashes during operation minimizes environmental impact. This innovative ta-C coating technology was developed through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
