KTM 890 ADVENTURE [2021-2023] - Engine protection plate

The engine protection plate from AXP Racing, especially for the KTM 790/890 ADVENTURE/R models, is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and offers optimal protection with a thickness of 8mm. This material was chosen to ensure maximum protection while reducing weight (only 3.7 kg). Unlike aluminum protective panels, the HDPE panel does not absorb deformation and does not store impact energy, which further contributes to its durability.

Another advantage of this plastic plate is the significant reduction in noise compared to metal plates, which often increase noises such as the impact of stones. The protection plate is not mounted directly on the engine, but rather via aluminum brackets at the rear and four attachment points on the front frame, which provides additional protection for the tank and eliminates the need to purchase crash bars. An anti-dirt protection and a decoration kit are also included.

Please note that the 890's stock fuel pump guard may collide with our guard plate. We recommend using a smaller ROTTWEILER PERFORMANCE part to make assembly easier. Our protective plate uses the unused center stand pivot points for assembly, which makes it incompatible with subsequently installed center stands.
