KAWASAKI ZX [2002-2004] - Z-ring chain

The Regina 525 HPE Z-ring chain with rivet link sets new standards in motorcycle technology. This state-of-the-art chain eliminates the need for regular lubrication, which is otherwise required every 1,000 km. Extensive tests in the laboratory and on the road have proven that the service life of the HPE chain is at least as long, if not longer, than that of a conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chain.

An outstanding feature of this chain is the coating with Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced coatings from the group of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive. The extremely high hardness of the coated surface combined with a low coefficient of friction leads to improved performance.

Eliminating the need to clean and lubricate the chain also minimizes environmental impact.
