HONDA CBF 500 [2004-2008] - Z-ring chain

Discover the revolutionary Z-ring chain from Regina, which was specially developed for high performance and endurance. The High Performance Endurance (HPE) Series offers a significant improvement over conventional Z-ring chains.

Extensive testing in the laboratory and on the road has proven that the service life of the HPE chain is at least equal to, if not greater than, that of a regularly lubricated Z-ring chain. A special feature of this chain is the coating Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced forms of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive.

The very high hardness of the coated surface combined with a low coefficient of friction results in improved performance. Additionally, the elimination of chain cleaning and lubricant splashing during operation minimizes environmental impact. The development of this innovative coating process was carried out through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
