HONDA CB 750 [1992-2003] - Z-ring chain

The Regina 525 HPE Z-Ring Chain with Rivet Link sets new standards in performance and durability for motorcyclists. Thanks to its innovative technology, this sophisticated chain does not require regular relubrication, which would otherwise be required every 1,000 km. This not only saves time but also maintenance costs.

Extensive tests in the laboratory and on the road have proven that the service life of the HPE chain is at least as long, if not longer, than that of a conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chain. A key element of this chain is the tetrahedral amorphous carbon (ta-C) coating, one of the most advanced coatings from the group of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and ensures a reduction in energy losses and an increase in efficiency in the secondary drive.

The very high hardness of the coated surface combined with a low coefficient of friction results in improved performance. Additionally, eliminating the need to clean the chain and use lubricants minimizes environmental impact. The development of this innovative coating process was carried out through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
