DUCATI 1100 PANIGALE V 4 [2018-2021] - Z-ring chain

The Regina 525 HPE Z-ring chain with rivet link sets new standards in motorcycle technology. This high-performance chain features innovative Z-ring technology that eliminates the need for regular lubrication that would otherwise be required every 1,000 km. This product has been specially developed for demanding motorcyclists who value durability and performance.

Extensive tests in the laboratory and on the road have proven that the service life of the HPE chain is at least as long, if not longer, than that of a conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chain. Another outstanding feature of this chain is the tetrahedral amorphous carbon (ta-C) coating, one of the most advanced forms of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and ensures a reduction in energy losses and an increase in efficiency in the secondary drive.

The combination of extremely high hardness of the coated surface and a low coefficient of friction leads to a significant increase in performance. Additionally, eliminating the need for chain cleaning and lubricant splash during operation minimizes environmental impact. The innovative ta-C coating technology was developed through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
