BITUBO WAE02 rear shock absorber for BMW R 850 GS

The BITUBO WAE02 rear shock absorber replaces the original damper and is tailored to the BMW R 850 GS with BMW Telelever front wheel. Its adjustable design allows the damping to be adapted to different driving behavior and comfort requirements.

Function and construction

The shock absorber works with a nitrogen charge and a floating separator piston that separates oil and gas from each other. The gas is routed in a separate compensation chamber. The piston skirt has a diameter of 12 mm and has an anti-friction treatment. Guide bushings with a low friction index support low-friction guidance.

The upper connection head is made of aeronautical aluminum alloy and is manufactured using CNC machines. The damper thus combines a precisely executed connecting construction with specifically adjustable settings.
