The Regina 525 HPE Z-Ring chain sets new standards in motorcycle technology and offers an outstanding solution for riders who value durability and low maintenance. Thanks to the revolutionary Z-ring technology, this innovative chain does not require regular relubrication, making it ideal for long-distance riders. The chain does not need to be lubricated every 1,000 km as usual, which saves both time and resources.

The HPE chain has been subjected to extensive testing in the laboratory and on the road and has proven to have a lifespan at least as long as, if not longer than, that of a conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chain. Another highlight of this chain is the coating with Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced coatings from the group of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive.

The combination of extremely high hardness of the coated surface and a low coefficient of friction leads to a significant reduction in energy consumption and an increase in overall efficiency. Additionally, eliminating the need to clean the chain and use lubricants helps minimize environmental impact. The development of this innovative coating process was carried out through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
